This Website is Dedicated with Reverence to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
The motivation, as well as inspiration for describing the events narrated in Valmiki Ramayan with scientific evidence, came directly from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. He delivered the inaugural address on 30th July 2011 for the first Seminar on the Subject and prescribed the roadmap.
First, the astronomical dates of planetary positions recorded in Ramayan and Mahabharat were determined. Thereafter, supporting proofs from archaeology, oceanography, genetics, remote sensing etc. were exquisitely woven to prove the historicity of the Ramayan and Mahabharat Eras.
Research
This Website is the result of multi-disciplinary scientific research carried out since the beginning of the new millennium (2001) by Mrs. Saroj Bala and her associates on a hugely misrepresented topic 'Ancient Indian History'. This research was carried out in association with Sanskrit Scholars and eminent scientists from archaeology and astronomy, geography and geology, palaeobotany and genetic studies, oceanography and remote sensing etc. Mrs. Saroj Bala devised a unique methodology of extracting all astronomical references sequentially from ancient Indian literature and then generated the sky views using Planetarium software which determined the exact dates of events narrated in Vedas and Epics.
Initially, Planetarium software displayed twelve sequential sky views of Valmiki Ramayan references from 10th January 5116 BCE to 20th September 5076 BCE. These very astronomical references were thereafter viewed on demand from Astronomers using Stellarium Software, as that follows NASA ephemeris. The very same sky views were shown by Stellarium 40-41 dates later because of the calendrical difference which has been explained in the books displayed on this Website.
For Mahabharat, the Planetarium displayed thirteen sequential sky views from 18th November 3153 BCE to 24th January 3101 BCE, whereas Stellarium displayed these very sky views about 26 dates later from 15th December, 3153 BCE to 19th February 3101 BCE because of a difference in Ephemeris.
The research reports from the other eight disciplines of science, listed above, supported these astronomical dates. Top research organizations, like ISRO and ASI, BSIP and NIO, and eminent scientists who worked with these, have made a valuable contribution to this research. The voluminous proofs from Archaeology have left no doubt that the ancient civilization of India has inappropriately been named as Harappan civilisation. In fact, Vedic Civilization has been indigenously developing in India for 9000 years, with Rigveda relating to 7000-6000 BCE, Ramayan to around 5000 BCE and Mahabharat records the Vedic civilization of around 3000 BCE. The Vedas represent the compilation of knowledge and Epics represent the History of ancient Bharat Varsha.
There has been absolutely no scientific evidence of any Aryan invasion in 1500 BCE or any time during the current Holocene. The dispersal actually took place the other way around. People from Bharat Varsha went to other countries for trade and the dissemination of knowledge. The findings are expected to add new dimensions to the study of ancient Indian history. Dr Kalam also believed that sooner or later the ancient history of India would be written in this manner.
