Panchvati did nit have only five commonly known vat trees, but it was all covered with five varieties of Vat trees – Nyagarodha, Peepal, Palash, Udumbara, Udumbari. All these five varieties of Ficus trees are still found in Panchavati, Nashik.

I went to visit Ramsetu from Dhanush Koti and lay down on the side of a fishing boat, wearing snorkelling glasses, touching the seawater. I could see the chain of islands, bays, hills, and sand, along with the hand-filled portions with rocks and stones tied by ropes on two sides. These were at a level walkable 7000 years ago

Maharshi Valmiki composed the Ramayan- the Life story of Lord Ram around 7000 years back. Then, for a few thousand years, it has come down to us through the Shruti Smriti Parampara. A one-thousand-year-old manuscript of the Valmiki Ramayan is available in the Nepalese Library at Kathmandu.
